So how's every man's man Jake Johnson taking the Jess and Nick hook-up? "It's nice, it's complicated," he says in a new preview video for the upcoming episode "Winston's Birthday," which has Jess' dad (Rob Reiner) showing up to the loft unannounced and causing quite a stir. “They haven’t even had a chance to talk about it,” Reiner says, “and then all of a sudden the father is thrust into the situation.”
As Nick tries to get some fatherly advice from Jess' dad, things start to get a little more emotionally heavy. Jess' pop notes that Nick is like him, and anyone like him isn't good enough for his little girl. Although we foresee Nick reverting back to his "thinking too much" ways in this episode, here's to hoping otherwise. We really, really like spontaneous Nick.
