ussell Brand confirmed for Channel 4 'Comedy Gala'

Russell Brand has been confirmed as host of this year's Channel 4 Comedy Gala.

Brand will front the charity stand-up show, which is held in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, when it returns to the O2 Arena on Saturday, May 18.

The fourth annual event will see Lee Evans, Michael McIntyre, Alan Carr, Rhod Gilbert and Jack Dee share the stage with Brand.

Miranda Hart, Warwick Davis, Adam Hills, Jon Richardson and Nina Conti are also in line to perform, while Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity will make an appearance.

The show will also see Brand reunited with Jonathan Ross once again, more than four years after their infamous voicemails to actor Andrew Sachs led to Brand quitting his BBC Radio 2 show.

Tickets for the event are priced between £40 and £100, with the money going towards a new operating theatre at the iconic London children's hospital.

A two-hour special - The Channel 4 Comedy Gala Live At The O2 - will be aired on Channel 4 later this year.
